主催団体の母体であるGlobal Shapers Community（以下GSC）は、世界経済フォーラムから生まれた30歳未満の若者のコミュニティで、地域とグローバルな課題の双方に取り組んでいます。14,000人以上のメンバーを擁するGSCは、現在150カ国以上500近くの都市にハブと呼ばれる拠点を置いています。 各都市では、シェイパーから成るチームが自己組織化し、地域のニーズに対応するプロジェクトを立ち上げています。

GYSESummitは、中国のGSC成都ハブを中心に、世界10都市以上のハブが共催するGSCのプロジェクトです。国連が提唱するSDGsに沿ったこのサミットは、フォーラム・コンテスト・ワークショップなどで構成されており、専門家・社会起業家・企業・インパクト投資家などのステークホルダーを集めて新世代の社会起業家を支援することで、社会にインパクトを残すような若きリーダーが増えることを目標としています。

テーマ「人口問題と社会起業」

日本をはじめ多くの先進国で、人口減少や少子高齢化の問題が頻繁に話頭に上るようになった昨今の状況を踏まえ、本企画では、人口動態によって大きく変化する経済や社会の課題を、イノベーションで解決していこうとする最新の取り組みについて紹介します。
日本は2008年を境に総人口が減少しており、2100年には5000万人を下回るとの予測も出ています。（国立社会保障・人口問題研究所「日本の将来推計人口(平成29年推計)」より）
世界では人口増加が問題になっている国や地域もある中で、本企画はどのようなイノベーションが起これば格差や貧困の問題を引き起こさずにより良い未来を作り上げることができるのかを、ゲストスピーカー・参加者とともに考えていきます。

Global Youth Social Entrepreneurship Summit is an online summit co-hosted by Global Shapers Community(GSC) Fukuoka Hub, will be held on August 2, 2022. [Free to Attend]

The GSC Fukuoka Hub will hold an online session of the Global Youth Social Entrepreneurship Summit Fukuoka (hereinafter referred to as "GYSESummit Fukuoka") on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 19:00.

The Global Shapers Community (GSC), the parent organization of the host organization, is a community of young people under the age of 30 under the World Economic Forum to address both local, regional, and global challenges. With more than 14,000 members, GSC currently has hubs in more than 150 countries and nearly 500 cities. In each city, teams of shapers organize and launch projects to address local and global needs.

GYSE Summit is a GSC project co-hosted by the GSC Chengdu hub in China and more than 10 other hubs around the world. The summit, which is aligned with the SDGs proposed by the United Nations, consists of forums, contests, and workshops, and aims to bring together experts, social entrepreneurs, companies, impact investors, and other stakeholders to support a new generation of social entrepreneurs. The goal is to increase the number of young leaders who will leave an impact on society.

About the theme "Population Issues and Social Entrepreneurship”

In light of the recent situation in Japan and many other developed countries where the issues of declining population and aging society are frequently discussed, this program introduces the latest efforts to solve the economic and social issues that are drastically changing due to demographics through innovation.
Japan's total population has been declining since 2008, and is projected to fall below 50 million by 2100 (National Institute of Population and Social Security Research, "Population Projections for Japan (2009 estimates)"). While population growth is a problem in some countries and regions around the world, this summit will discuss with guest speakers and participants about the kind of innovation which can create a better future while solving  problems of inequality and poverty.

About Global Shapers Community Fukuoka Hub

Established: 2014
The Global Shapers Community (GSC) Fukuoka Hub, born out of the World Economic Forum, the parent organization of the host organization, is a community of young people under the age of 30. 
As of June 2022, 25 young people from 5 countries are active members of the GSC Fukuoka Hub, the fourth hub in Japan. The Hub continues to make proposals and questions that are made possible due to its diverse members, who are active in various fields both in Japan and abroad, such as online events on gender equality issues and classes for junior high school students on career advice.
